Men's Soccer Moves up; Volleyball holds Steady

Manhattan, KS - As the regular season winds down for the men's soccer program, the heat in the polls keeps cranking up. Ahead of a top 10 showdown with #2 Randall University this coming Saturday, the Thunder find themselves up in this weeks NCCAA Top 10 to #6 in the nation. This team has already laid claim to the regular season Midwest Christian College Conference championship, but find themselves looking for more. With a victory over Southwest Adventist University on Thursday afternoon, MCC will have guaranteed themselves a top 3 seed in the NCCAA SW Region Tournament. A win over Randall University on Saturday would force a three way tie for the one seed. The NCCAA SW Region Tournament will be played the week of November 4 in Joplin, Missouri.

On the volleyball floor the Lady Thunder have held steady at #8 in the polls for most of the season. This week is no exception as the team sits in their familiar spot. After dropping a tough match to #7 Randall University last Friday, the Thunder will travel to Moore, Oklahoma where they'll take on both Dallas Christian College and Arlington Baptist University in region contests. #4 Arlington Baptist University currently holds the top spot in the region with Randall, Dallas and Manhattan all within a game of the top spot. The NCCAA SW Region Tournament will be played November 8-9 in Joplin, Mo.
