Men's Soccer Completes Three Win Week

Joplin, Mo - After stumbling on the road against an unaffiliated and unranked Union College program, the Thunder bounced back in a major way with three straight wins this week and a goal differential of 18-1. On Tuesday, the team welcomed conference and region opponent Barclay College to campus. In that contest the Thunder were able to hammer home 13 goals while holding the Bears scoreless. They were led by sophomore Angel Vasquez who knocked in four goals of his own while senior Cade Pearson came up with his own hat trick. On Wednesday the team drove North for a make-up contest with Nebraska Christian College. The Thunder were able to handle their business on the road, outshooting the Sentinels 13-4 and winning 2-0. Saturday saw the team make the drive south to Joplin, Mo for a 3:00 pm kick with rival, Ozark Christian College. The offense again took handle of the game putting up twenty one shots and knocking home three. MCC would come away victorious 3-1.

The team is now 7-5 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They will be back in action on 10/15 as they travel to Belton, Mo for a 3:30 pm kick with Calvary University.
