Woods chooses Thunder Basketball

Manhattan, KS - Gary Woods, a 6'3 guard/forward from Paris High School in Paris, Tx, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Manhattan Christian College in 2015-16. As a senior at Paris High School Woods came off the bench as the 6th man averaging 8.5 ppg and 7.1 rpg for a team that went 31-1 and advanced all the way to the Texas Class 4A Region 2 Semi-Final. Woods is an athletic, high energy player with a team first mindset who should be able to provide the Thunder with a stronger rebounding and defensive presence right away. "We are excited to add Gary to the roster for the upcoming year and believe that his athleticism and his motor will add another element to what we want to do this season," commented Coach Condra. Woods' versatility should allow the freshman to compete for time at either forward spot this season.
