Turner Commits to MCC

Sterling Turner, a 6' guard from Dallas, TX has committed to play basketball for Manhattan Christian College in 2014-15. Turner comes to Manhattan after spending a year at Friends University where he redshirted. Prior to his arival at Friends University Turner starred in basketball and football at Woodrow Wilson High School. During his senior year he averaged 10 ppg 4rpg 4 apg and 5 spg on the hardwood while picking up multiple district and league awards on the gridiron.

Turner is an athletic guard who will be looked upon to handle the basketball and create opportunities for his teammates. "Sterling obviously comes in with the most college basketball experience and we will look forward to seeing him contribute right away," says Coach Strom. Turner joins incoming freshmen Logan Hitchcock, Trevin Jacobsen, and Cole Olberding in the 2014 recruiting class. MCC will look to add a few more pieces to the recruiting class later in the summer.
