MCC Baseball Signs Alexander Lopez

Manhattan, KS - MCC head baseball coach Jimmy McDonald announces the signing of Alexander Lopez, a 2015 graduate of Gabriela Mistral High School in Catano, Puerto Rico. The 5'11, 170-pound switch hitting outfielder and second baseman possesses great speed. Lopez will be enrolling as a freshman for the upcoming 2015-2016 academic year. This past summer Lopez played for head baseball coach Joe Rodriguez at the Raiders Baseball Academy.

"Alexander is a great young man with a bright future ahead of him. He is an outstanding student and an even better person. We feel very blessed to get him with the type of speed he has. He will definitely play a big part in what we are building here at MCC. I look for him to be very aggressive at the plate and on the base paths this upcoming year. We look forward to building on his past success and developing him in the weight room" commented head coach Jimmy McDonald

Alexander is the son of Alexander and Aurea Lopez. The family attends God's Resurrection Church in Catano, Puerto Rico.
